The city of Pflugerville also reached its projected 21 percent sales tax increase for the fiscal year (September 2008-August 2009), according to the state of Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts sales tax summary, Pflugerville City Hall and the Greater Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce.

This revenue was reportedly spurred by a number of new retail development projects in the city, including Stone Hill Town Center, Pfluger Crossing, and other commercial outlets.

“We believe that it’s crucial to the health of our local economy to continue trading with both our established Pflugerville businesses and any new commercial ventures,” said Patricia Gervan-Brown, GPCC president and CEO. “We strongly encourage our citizens to ‘Come Home to Shop!’ for the holidays and beyond.”
