All-District football selections for Districts 25-5A and 25-4A were recently announced and the local schools had plenty of representatives.

District 25-5A’s first-team offense included Pflugerville’s Tyrus Thompson (tackle), Sammy Flowers (running back) and Connally’s Kevin Del Aguila (punter). First team defense selections included Pflugerville’s Ty Tuner (defensive line), Savon Thomas (defensive line), Alex Matlock (safety) and Patrick Maxwell (defensive end) and Connally’s Zach Aossey (defensive end) and Alex Brown (linebacker).

Pflugerville’s Alex Dean (quarterback), Drew Travis (wide receiver) and Sean Ianno were second-team offense selections as was Connally’s Kenneth Defee (running back). Flowers earned second-team honors as the return specialist. Connally’s Cedric Haley (defensive end), Ryan Washington (safety) and Karel Kearney (defensive line) were second-team defense selections.

Honorable mention went to Pflugerville’s Michael Bowser (linebacker), Julian Ward (running back), Steven Weibel (center) and Skody Robertson (linebacker).

Six Hendrickson Hawks made the 25-4A first team; Kenny Williams (running back), Jeremy Spence (offensive line), Terrence Simmons (defensive line), Juan Asencio (linebacker) and Zach Caballero (cornerback). Brandon Bedford was the first team’s return specialist.

Hawks on the second team were Russell Diggs (tight end), Jeffrey Travillion (offensive line), Devante Robinson (defensive line) and Ryan Allen (linebacker). Tommie Robins was the second team’s return specialist.

Honorable mention went to Bedford (running back), Michael Kay (offensive line), Damarion Jackson (linebacker), Spence (defensive end) and Stephan Hairston (safety).
