TopstoryAsenciowebSix PISD football players signed letters of intent on Wednesday which was college football’s national signing day. Pflugerville High offensive lineman Tyrus Thompson made the biggest splash, landing a scholarship to play football at the University of Oklahoma. His Panther teammate, defensive lineman Ty Turner, committed to play for McMurry University in Abilene. Connally linebacker Zac Aossey made his intentions known and he will travel to Boston where next year he will suit up for the Harvard Crimson. Fellow Cougar Karel Kearney will play for the University of Idaho while teammate Jacoby Sanders is headed to Southeastern Oklahoma. Hendrickson High linebacker Juan Asencio (pictured) will continue his career at Incarnate Word University in San Antonio. For more coverage of signing day check next week’s edition of the Pflag.
