Hendrickson High wrestler Omar Contreras competed in three matches at last week’s state wrestling tournament, going 1-2 in the process.

Contreras, competing in the 180-pound class, dropped his first round match, falling to Estacado’s Joey Andrist 3-2.

After the loss he moved into the consolation bracket where he beat Langham Creek’s Trevor Hadley by default before losing to Cinco’s Michael Velez 6-4 which knocked him out of the tournament.
