Pflugerville High basketball player Adesuwa Ebomwonyi was recently named the District 25-5A co-most valuable player for the 2009-2010 season. Ebomwonyi shared the award with Westlake’s Courtney Duever. Panther coach Nancy Walling was selected the coach of the year while Pflugerville sophomore Itiana Taylor was chosen as the newcomer of the year.

Panthers Christie Mooney and Curteisha Woods were first-team selections as were Connally’s Kali Jerrell and Brittany Roberts. Connally’s Genea Rucker and Jasmine Dukes were second-team selections along with Pflugerville’s Dymesheon Hyder. Honorable mention went to Connally’s Kara Babola and Autumn Shead and Pflugerville’s Jasmyn Booker and Ari Booth.
