Connally High’s Brittany Roberts took eighth in the shot put at last weekend’s Texas Relays. Roberts final throw was 39-feet-02-inches. Her finish was the top finish among all local competitors. She also took 12th in the discus (125-04.

Cougar Aaron Bynum was the only other local athlete to advance to Saturday’s finals. He finished 16th in the discus (149-11). The Cougar boys 800-meter relay team placed 19th while their 400 relay team took 27th.
