Pflugerville High School’s seven-on-seven football team qualified for the state tournament with four wins at the Round Rock qualifier this past weekend.
The Panthers knocked off Harker Heights, Vista Ridge and McNeil in the preliminary rounds and qualified for the final tournament in the process. From their they beat Marble Falls in the semifinal round and the victory guaranteed them a trip to the state tournament which will take place July 9-10 at Texas A&M in College Station. The Panthers then went out and beat Stony Point to claim the tournament title.
Pflugerville’s team is made up of Kyle Hoffman, Alex Matlock, Alex Dean, Sammy Flowers, Storm Woods, Julian Ward, Chris Hicks, Jordan Moon, Jimmy Hines, Elvin Illoka, Carlos Santa Cruz, Dante Jackson, Jamaree Love, Skody Robertson, Javon Artis, Rashard Montgomery, Nathan Mcallum, Bryan Illoka and Devonte Brussard.
