The Connally Cougars Green team came up on the short end of a 48-32 loss to the Marble Falls Mustangs. The Cougars trailed the entire game, as the Mustangs took an early 5-0 lead before the Cougars managed to knock down a 3-pointer. The Mustangs, who were led by the play of 6-foot-9-inch Shane Minnick and controlled the entire first half, led 19-14 at halftime.

The Cougars managed to stay in the game behind the play of Gio Smith, who had seven first-half points.

Early in the second half, the Cougars were able to keep it close behind some strong inside play and the shooting Smith, who finished with 13 points. However, the play of Minnick proved to be too much for the much smaller Cougars, as the Mustangs closed the game with a 16-5 run for the easy victory.

Earlier in the night, the Connally Cougars Black lost to the Dripping Springs Tigers, 56-52.
