The Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce welcomed Awards & Trophies by Heat Wave with a ribbon-cutting Aug. 12 at 100 W. Pflugerville Parkway, Suite 118 in Pflugerville. David MacDonald is the owner and Bill Elsey is the general manager.

Owned and operated by 17-year Pflugerville residents, Awards & Trophies by Heat Wave opened three years ago to provide the general public with quality, reasonably-priced customized recognition pieces after having built trophies for the prior 19 years for Heat Wave car shows. It is the only Artcarved class ring distributor within 50 miles of Austin, store officials reported.
