Setter Dana Faught is back and the Stony Point Tigers volleyball team celebrated by sweeping Hendrickson 25-17, 25-14, 25-21 Friday night.
“Dana went down in the first game of the first match at Nike Pearland tournament, she wanted to play Tuesday in our double dual but I did not want her to try and comeback too quick,” said Stony Point coach Jayson Langman who appeared right on track as the streak of five losses in eight matches came to a impressive stop with the win over a playoff quality opponent like Hendrickson.
Faught had 28 assists, four case and three blocks in the win over the hawks while high flying outside hitter Eboni god Frey slammed 15 kills. Kaci Thompson led the defense with 18 digs.
The Hawks were led by Brittany Gray’s seven kills and two blocks. Brooke Bishop had 17 digs and Casey Freisen 17 assists. Mariah Carlin finished with two aces.
