An eight-run fourth inning by Stony Point was more than Pflugerville could overcome and the result was a run-rule victory for the Tigers over the Panthers last Thursday in varsity softball action.

The “worst case scenario” for budget cuts played out, at least temporarily, at an April 7 meeting where the PISD board terminated contracts to close the budget gap the district will face in the coming year.

The track at Hendrickson High School played host to a moving scene – literally and emotionally – as more than 1,000 community members got in motion for Pflugerville’s 8th annual Relay for Life last weekend.
None hurt in Wells Branch building fire last week

Nobody was hurt, but a three-story building was a total loss after Pflugerville and Austin fire departments extinguished a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex April 13, in the 1800 block of Wells Branch Parkway.

After the Round Rock Dragons won the first game of their Friday night doubleheader 6-1, the Pflugerville Panthers battled back to win the night game 4-3 courtesy of an outstanding play at second base by Jake Wooten.
